Edora Global Trade operates as a sea freight forwarder on full containers (FCL), groupage (LCL) and conventional or oversized cargo. Our main lanes run towards Europe, North America, South America, North Africa and the Middle East. We handle every stage — booking, documentation, customs coordination and final delivery — as a single point of contact.
| Solution | When | Advantage | To consider |
|---|---|---|---|
| FCL — full container | Volume enough to fill a 20′ or 40′ | Lowest cost per cubic metre, fewer handlings, more predictable transit | You pay for the container, not the space used |
| LCL — groupage | Below a full container, or several suppliers | You pay only the volume occupied; allows frequent shipments | Consolidation and deconsolidation add days |
| Break bulk | Cargo that does not fit a container | No dimensional limit | Requires a stowage study and port equipment |
| Project cargo | Plant, machinery, out-of-gauge pieces | A dedicated transport project from origin to site | Planning weeks in advance |
The threshold between LCL and FCL is not a fixed rule. Around 13 to 15 cubic metres the calculation should be run both ways: above that band a full container often costs less than the equivalent groupage and arrives sooner, because it skips two warehouse handlings.
On Gulf and North Africa lanes the real choice is often not between two vessels but between sea and road. On some routes a truck stays competitive on transit time and not always on cost; when the difference is marginal we show both instead of quoting only the mode you asked for. Our road freight page covers the alternative.
Dangerous goods move under the IMDG Code, with a dangerous goods declaration and a container packing certificate. For chemical liquids the assessment always starts from the safety data sheet, the UN number and the class. For cargo that does not fit a container or needs special handling equipment, the stowage study and port coordination are part of the transport, not an afterthought.
With FCL you hire the whole container and pay regardless of how much you fill. With LCL you pay the volume or chargeable weight actually occupied, sharing the container with other cargo. LCL costs less on small volumes but requires consolidation and deconsolidation, which add days.
Indicatively above 13 to 15 cubic metres the calculation should be redone: on many lanes a full 20′ costs less than the equivalent groupage and arrives sooner. Below that band LCL remains the right choice.
Mainly Europe, North America, South America, North Africa and the Middle East, with sailings from Turkish and Mediterranean ports. We handle both full containers and groupage on these lanes.
Yes, on export and import, including movement and origin documents. It is the part where most days are lost when transport and customs sit with different providers.

Yes, as break bulk or project cargo, with a stowage study and port coordination. This cargo has to be planned in weeks, not days.
It depends on the port of departure, the service and any transhipments. Transit time is stated in the quotation for the specific lane, together with the road alternative where it is competitive.
Pickup and delivery locations, dimensions, weight and number of packages, nature of the goods and the Incoterms rule you want. For dangerous goods, also the UN number and class.
Send us the lane, the volume and the delivery term. You get a single all-in cost, a realistic transit time and — where one exists — the alternative that costs less than the one you asked for.
