Industry

In industrial machinery shipping the real issue is not the transport but the paperwork: in many markets machinery is a regulated category, and who is allowed to apply for the conformity certificate varies by country. In the Eurasian Economic Union only a party registered inside the Union can apply; in the Gulf a product-level certificate is a precondition for the shipment certificate. Edora Global Trade runs the transport and that document chain together.

Documentary structure by market

Market Certificate Critical point
Kazakhstan and the Eurasian Union EAC certificate or declaration The applicant must be registered in the Union; the manufacturer cannot apply directly
Saudi Arabia PCoC + SCoC No shipment certificate without a valid product certificate
UAE ECAS certificate of conformity Also required when goods leave a free zone for the mainland
Iraq Certificate of conformity Scope list is revised; confirm for every shipment
Nigeria SONCAP: PC, Form M, SC Break the sequence and penalties and detention follow

The physical side

  • Packed dimensions — the manufacturing drawing and shipping dimensions differ; the calculation uses packed measurements.
  • Centre of gravity — point loading determines stowage and offloading equipment.
  • Gauge — once height or width limits are exceeded: open top, flat rack or project cargo.
  • Disassembly — shipping in parts is often cheaper than out-of-gauge transport; we make the call against assembly cost.

Spare parts flow

Selling a machine happens once; the spare parts flow is continuous. For a stopped line, air freight; for a planned flow, regular road groupage; for stock near the market, a bonded warehouse where duty arises as parts are withdrawn.

What we offer

  • Full loads, containers, open top, flat rack and conventional solutions.
  • Route surveys, permits and specialised equipment for out-of-gauge and heavy machinery.
  • Customs clearance, tariff verification and conformity certificate coordination.
  • Spare parts: urgent air, scheduled road and bonded stock combined.
  • Temporary admission for exhibition and test equipment.

Frequently asked questions

Which certificate does machinery need?

It depends on the destination: EAC in the Eurasian Union, PCoC and SCoC in Saudi Arabia, ECAS in the UAE, and dedicated conformity programmes in Iraq and Nigeria. The check is made against the tariff code, at order stage.

Can the manufacturer apply for an EAC certificate?

No. The applicant must be a natural or legal person registered in a member state of the Eurasian Economic Union. A foreign manufacturer must appoint an authorised representative.

Is shipping a machine in parts cheaper?

Often yes, because out-of-gauge transport and permit costs disappear. Assembly cost and site conditions have to be weighed in; we work out both options.

Do you handle temporary admission for exhibitions?

Yes. For equipment used and returned, the regime and guarantee structure are set up before shipment.

How do you manage spare parts stock?

Held in a bonded warehouse near the market, with duty arising as parts are withdrawn. Urgent needs go by air, planned flows by regular road groupage.

What do you need for a quotation?

Machine description and tariff code, packed dimensions and weight, pickup and delivery points, destination country, site access conditions and the status of any existing conformity certificate.

Let us settle who will apply for the certificate first. With industrial machinery, what delays delivery is almost never the transport.
